EAST LAKE SILVER SOUND
Booster Organization

If your kid is in band,
you're a booster.

The East Lake Band Boosters is a 501(c)(3) volunteer organization made up of every band family in the program. Boosters fund what the school district doesn't: instructors, transportation, music, and the everyday lift that keeps the program running.

Servant leadership. Music as growth.

The mission of East Lake High School Band Boosters (ELHSBB) is to provide continual support of the students, directors, and families of the East Lake High School Music Program in their goal to achieve the highest standards of music education, music performance, and personal growth. Our servant leadership approach facilitates the music enrichment of the student membership of East Lake High School; promotes the place and value of music in our community and the significant role music plays in the cultural, intellectual, and social lives of our students; fosters fellowship and goodwill among its students; and provides opportunities for our students to grow as people and as leaders.

What that looks like day-to-day: chaperoning buses to competitions, running concession stands at home games, sourcing and fitting uniforms, hauling props, managing fair-share payments, hosting clinicians, and producing the East Lake Classic — the program's marquee fundraising event each fall.

Boosters also raise the dollars that go beyond what the school district provides: section instructors, music arrangements, additional rehearsal time, equipment maintenance, and travel to competition. Every band family is automatically a member, and every contribution — time or money — feeds directly back into the students.

All volunteers must complete the Pinellas County Schools volunteer form before working with students, and some roles require Level 2 clearance. If you're available to help, talk to Mr. Black, Ms. Bert, or any board member.

Six elected leaders. One year terms.

The Booster Board is elected each spring and serves a one-year term. Headshots are being collected — for now, here's the team.

Two ways in. Both make a difference.

Volunteer your time

Every event needs hands. Chaperone a bus, work a concession shift, help haul props, run the Classic registration desk. We'll find a slot that fits your schedule — whether that's one Friday a month or every weekend in October.

Give to the program

Direct gifts and corporate sponsorships fund instruments, instructors, and travel. Every dollar goes back into the students. The Boosters are a 501(c)(3); contributions are tax-deductible.

If your student is in band, you're already on the team.
