The East Lake Guard performs with the Silver Sound Marching Band in the fall, then competes in FFCC Winter Guard from November through March. Sabres, flags, and a two-season commitment.
The East Lake High School Guard is sponsored by the ELHS Band Program and Band Boosters. During the Fall season, the Color Guard rehearses and performs with the Silver Sound Marching Band; during the Winter season, the Winter Guard competes within the State of Florida in FFCC competitions.
The Guard Handbook lays out expectations for both Winter and Color Guard. The guard performs halftime shows at Friday football games, parades, and competes in marching band competitions alongside the Silver Sound. Winter Guard transitions into competitive indoor guard performances from January through March.
