Every dollar has a job.

The Pinellas County school district covers the music teacher's salary and the basic classroom. Everything else — the things that turn a band class into a competitive program — is funded by you. Here's where it goes.

Instruments & repair

Sousaphones, marimbas, drum heads, reeds, horns. The big-ticket equipment that lasts decades — and the consumables that replace themselves every season.

Specialist instructors

Section coaches, drill designers, choreographers, music arrangers. The professionals who help the program rehearse like a college band — not like a high school class.

Buses & travel

Every Saturday competition. Every away game. Every trip to a state-level MPA or out-of-county festival. Charter buses, fuel, drivers, hotels when overnight.

Uniforms & props

Marching uniforms (bibbers, jackets, shakos with silver plumes), color guard costumes, custom-built field props for each year's show, the trailer that hauls it all.

Every October, 14 visiting bands and roughly 2,000 spectators descend on East Lake for the Classic — our annual marching invitational and the booster organization's biggest fundraiser of the year.
