The East Lake Percussion Ensemble meets year-round as a percussion class. Members perform on mallets, snare, timpani, and the full range of percussion instruments. All percussionists enrolled must also be in the marching band.

The East Lake Percussion Ensemble meets year-round as a percussion class. Membership is comprised of all percussionists. Percussionists should enroll in "Instrumental Techniques" class, where they cover mallet and snare fundamentals, timpani, and percussion accessories and technique.

Rehearsals include daily during class, after-school Tuesday/Thursday rehearsals and sectionals, occasional Friday and Saturday rehearsals/performances. Other activities include FBA District MPA, Solo and Ensemble Performances, PRISM concert, graduation rehearsals and performance. All percussion members are also required to participate in the marching band.

Attendance at after-school rehearsals is part of the class grade. Conflicts must be communicated with Mr. Black in advance.
